Mosquitoes are one of the most loathed bugs today. This is not without its reasons all or most of which revolve around the harm it does to mankind as well as the environment. No more fighting a losing war involving you smacking your arms and other body parts as well. Moreover, regular vegetable oils can also suffice as an alternative. Either of these would teach those pests a lesson.
Moving on there is also bug repellant sun screen. This can also be used as a weapon against mosquitoes. This on top of it being used to protect skin against harmful UV rays from the sun. Being all natural it has no toxins with which to harm either the environment or humans.
Garlic, when you eat a lot of it will also be effective in keeping the mosquitoes at bay. That is right, even mosquitoes hate it when you eat a lot of garlic. This is not because of the breath though. Rather, its due to the excess garlic oil that the skin pores release into the skin. This creates a coat that covers the skin. The mosquitoes cannot penetrate this coat and are thus effectively kept out.
Lastly, the elimination of stagnant pools of water within your compound is also mightily effective in in controlling mosquitoes. This is by destroying their breeding grounds which is in fact stagnant water. Ensuring homes are free of any stagnant water in places such as pet water bowls, bird baths, gutters that are poorly drained, and even empty cans, especially during the rainy season will aid in this cause. Mowing the lawns often will also help as mosquitoes also long grass as breeding grounds.
