Producing Energy Using The Solar Panels

In the recent decades the world population, from the government bodies to individual level, have witnessed the detrimental effects of sources of energy that produce carbon.



This panel constitutes of a set of photovoltaic modules which are highly sensitive to the sun's rays and are mounted on a supporting structure. They can be used to generate and supply energy to residential or commercial entities. They module rate varies, depending on the model of the panel. It can range anywhere from 100 to 300 watts. Due to the fact that they are solar dependent, their efficiency vary in various parts of the globe due to diverse climatic conditions. Some areas have high cloud cover blocking the sun rays' penetration. This reduces the energy received for high power output. From a geographical point of view, the regions along the equator or tropics are more favorable towards this type of energy. The Polar Regions, on the other hand, are the least suited as a result of long winter periods and low solar intensity.

The interior of these panels contain crystalline silicon cells which are located either on top or bottom layer. They are also protected from both mechanical damage and moisture. The connection is in series model to achieve high power output. The material or conducting wires are copper and silver as they have high conducting power hence are more suitable for power transmission. For external use, diodes may be attached maximizing the output.

The use of these product can be traced back to 1958. However, spontaneous advances in technology have seen innovation or better designs. This includes use of focus lenses in which they're directed to tiny mirrors. Power output maximization is enabled with the decrease in overall size. Smaller panels are more suitable in terms of portability and installation.

Funds have been invested in this project to facilitate research. As a result, invention of high conversion products in commercial sectors have been achieved. Nano cylinders and aluminum is one technology that is currently being utilized in multi-million project such as the manufacture of Boeing planes. In other major sectors the reduction of cost of panels has declined.
