Apart from taking notes, you should also red-pen and list things you need to do on your return to school. While at school, prioritize the ideas from your action notes and create an action plan.
Your action plan should include some or all of the following: Write a teaching worksheet, write an assessment task, plan to use a new teaching strategy with your class and write a reminder to use a long-forgotten teaching idea/strategy. In the action plan, you can include writing up a report of that teaching strategy and buying resources and books for staff library. Finally, write up the report to be published for your staff on what you had learned.
