The specific time of the day you decide to do it is relevant. It is best to choose a morning when you feel free. The evenings are usually bad because you have been hard at work all day. After you have decided on a destination, you should begin. You must get yourself into a relaxed state. You can get into a relaxation meditation if you are familiar with one. The best thing to do is start with some deep breaths. As you do those, you will start noticing colors. They will pass as you go even deeper in the consciousness. So you should continue on.

You now go into what many frequent travelers call, the vibration state. This is when you start feeling or experiencing vibrations. This means you can be ready to go in. This also means your astral body and your physical body are becoming separate. So it has begun to detach and is now leaving. This is good, let it happen naturally and maintain that relaxed state. Feel everything out, including these vibrations.

You now need to exercise your willpower. You must try to control these vibrations, see how far you can take them. First, start to turn them off and on a couple of times. After you succeed with that, take it up a notch. With your mind s power, try to move them throughout your whole body. For example, if you only feel them through your hands. Try to get them to your feet as well.

Now you are ready to try something more intricate. You need to visualize a rope above your head. Picture grabbing this rope by the hand. This is how you will be pulling yourself into the other plane. Keep on trying and extend to two hands eventually. Take note while all this happening your vibrations may become more intense as you do this.

After you have tugged on the tope a bit, you can end the exercise. Don t worry you re not done, but just concluding for now. You will go to repeat these steps until you are fully aware of the rope and are able to use two hands to grab at it. You may feel dizzy and overwhelmed but these are signs that you are coming along nicely.
