When To Get Professional Help With Atlanta Bees Wasps Hornet Control And Removal

By Dave L. Weglin

Insects that sting can be a nuisance, especially when nesting near a home or inside its walls. Removing the nest may require causing damage to the structure and occupants are at risk of being stung when the insects become aggressive. Local exterminators have the knowledge and tools necessary to handle Atlanta bees wasps hornet control and removal.

Bees prefer to colonize outdoors. They will often choose a hollowed out tree or some other suitable location. Occasionally they will nest inside the walls of a building seeking protection from the elements. Wasps mix their saliva with small chewed up bits of wood fibers to build a nest. Common places for their nests include attic crawlspaces, shrubs, trees, underneath the eaves, and inside walls.

Nesting hornets do not usually damage the structure in any way. These pests are more of a threat to humans occupying the building. When disturbed, wasps and hornets become aggressive and threaten to sting. In some individuals, the venom causes an allergic reaction that can lead to serious health problems.

One way to get rid of wasps is to treat the nest with insecticide. Compounds in the spray stun the nest's occupants. This keeps them from flying around and stinging anyone.

Honeybees are important to the ecosystem because of the role they play in pollination. These insects are typically not aggressive and most exterminators have methods for collecting the colony and relocating it. Hybrid and African species are more dangerous to humans and exterminating them is the best method for eliminating them from the property.

When removing honeybees from a structure, it is necessary to remove any honey the colony has had time to store. If any honey is left behind, it can attract other bees. If the hive is inside the walls of a structure, it may be necessary to open up the wall to gain access to the colony. After removal, the area should be cleaned and remain open for several days to allow the colony odors to dissipate. Adding fiberglass batting or spray insulation to the void before repairing the wall can prevent other bees from moving in.

Individuals who lack the experience and tools to remove stinging insects should rely on experts to do the job. These insects will attack when provoked. Trained exterminators have the skills and experience necessary to eliminate wasps and bees in the safest manner possible. Homeowners can count on them to eliminate these pests and do what is necessary to keep others from moving in.
